Throwback Series: Original Six

Continuing our throwback series today with a look at what today's center ice designs might look like with the Original Six teams' original logos painted in the center circle. These logos never got their moment on ice, so let's make that happen today.  *Logos from first season in the National Hockey League.
Boston Bruins
While not nearly as iconic as their modern day spoked wheel design topped off with a giant "B", this ice does feature the animal for which the team was named.

Chicago Blackhawks
Correction: The Chicago Black Hawks. This logo did not waste time with colors, but you would likely spend a lot of time trying to focus on the puck when it passes over an almost completely black center ice.

Detroit Red Wings
The Red Wings logo has remained largely unchanged for so many years, and this old logo might drive you crazy. Sorry, pun intended!
Picture

Montreal Canadiens
What if they painted today's logo at center ice but didn't have a template, stencil, or fabric logo to work with. It might look a bit off center, and lacking the borders that makes this logo really stand out. It might look something like this.

New York Rangers
With some minor tweaks, we could get used to seeing this at center ice. change the "Rangers" lettering to white, and it would be a solid center ice even in 2020.

Toronto Maple Leafs
Many 'Leaves' ago, Toronto's logo was actually green like its real-life counterpart. But as the seasons changed, those 'Leaves' turned a few shades of blue, which sounds like something we might expect to happen to leaves near us this fall. I know, blue leaves... but this is 2020, the year where little makes sense.

I really like the New York Rangers concept. That logo has held up well over the years and the colors look great.
