The Sarnia Sting is installing a new goal horn that will become operational in 2023. The current goal horn was first installed in 2007 and has been in use since. The horn is from a semi-truck and is mounted in the south end of the arena between sponsorship signs. The horn is activated by a switch in the Zamboni tunnel. It will be retired in the new year.
The new goal horn is a Kahlenberg KM-110 that is mounted on a truss in the south end of the arena above the Sting net. Plans are to have it fully operational by their next home game in January. It will be activated from the press box. The horn will also be the largest in the OHL.
