TD Garden Scoreboard Nearly Complete

Update: 9/1/21 New Photo from @Heather.Dixon.1466

TD Garden hosted a graduation ceremony recently and we can see the new scoreboard hanging in the rafters.

This is the first time seeing it from below and now we know that it will have 4 under-belly screens.

Aside from that, we do not have a lot of specific details about this board yet. It appears to be a conservative board compared to some in the league. We do not see many bells or whistles with this thing, and it certainly doesn't look like it will be among the largest in the league. One thing is certain though, it is a solid design and it will be a nice upgrade from the old, tiny scoreboard the Bruins fans have watched for the past decade.

One thing the 2008 board excelled at was being able to read the clock.....

The United Center board in Chicago was impossible to read

I've been told by more than one person that in planning the new board, they wanted to keep that idea of a dedicated ring for scoring, so you will probably be happy with the scoring display.

Chicago was always very difficult to read. Very old school.

Tiny? I think you're confused with the original jumbotron that they used from 1995-2006. That screen was tiny. The 2006-2021 Scoreboard was good sized when it came out at the time. Nice to see the Garden finally get a larger board now that all these other arenas are getting creative with their boards. Definitely gonna look nice for Bruins Hockey.

Tiny compared to a majority of the NHL teams.
