We know that both logos will be featured in some capacity. The arena was recently named Mullett Arena. Most college rinks do not have much advertising on them, so it will be interesting to see what they do with in-ice ads.

The Wildcats have revealed their 25th Anniversary logo as you can find on SportsLogos.net. So here is what it would look like at center ice if they choose to use it. For the most part, it feels like a logo that was built for center ice, though its hard to see so much of a primary logo get covered up by the red line with the logo is that small already.

A couple years ago, someone made new Boston Garden concept that included a scoreboard similar to the Garden HDX, but with much larger screens. At the time, it seemed plausable that the Bruins my go that route with their new board as they only took off part of the LEDs from the structure. We thought it would be fun to take a look back at that concept board even though we now know an entirely new board is on its way. (More photos in link)

We have added a new way to view NHL scoreboards. Now you can see them ranked based on their age. Now this is a bit tricky since we have many versions of some scoreboards, accounting for things such as arena name changes or other minor alterations. We are using the most recent version of each overall structure, but the age is based on the playoff year that the scoreboard was first used. There are a handful of teams that have this awful company on the ice. They are a huge sponsor for the league, but they are also responsible for scamming millions of fans of various sporting and music events every year.

What was once a "lifetime naming rights deal" is has now been killed off and replaced by Crypto.com in a 20 year, 700 million dollar deal. It is now clear that the Los Angeles Kings were aware of the potential deal as early as August as they painted their ice. We had tweeted about how the ice was missing the Staples Center text when it was first painted. They would go on to paint the text on a higher layer of the ice than the rest of the markings. Now it is clear, they did this so they could easily changed out the text for the new arena name when the new deal takes effect on December 25, 2021. We will work on a center ice concept for the new name later this evening.
