It is located at the intersection of Mannheim Road and Touhy Avenue in Des Plaines in Illinois, a suburb of Chicago located 5 miles North of O'Hare International Airport. The facility opened in 1980 as the Rosemont Horizon and seats 17,500 for basketball and 16,692 for ice hockey.
