New ice was installed a couple games before the All Star Game. It was used beginning with the January 27'th game versus the Kings and then for the January 28'th game verses the Bruins. The trademark emblem "TM" was added next to the Panthers logo, and the red line changed to solid red. They would go back to their previous layout following the All Star game.
