On September 23-25, 2022, teams from Group A played one of the two from Round 1: the host team NSA Sofia (2021–22 Bulgarian Hockey League champions), the round champion KHL Sisak (2021–22 Croatian Ice Hockey League champions), Tartu Välk 494 (2021–22 Meistriliiga champions in Estonia) and Skautafélag Akureyrar (2021–22 Icelandic Hockey League champions).
