The team added former player Connor McDavid's number 97 to their ice. They also honored former team chairman, owner, president and governor Jim Waters who unexpectedly passed away in his sleep on December 13, 2024. His initials were added to the ice. This layout was used beginning January 10, 2025.

Erie Insurance Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the downtown area of Erie, Pennsylvania. It is home to the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League and was the former home of the Erie BayHawks of the NBA G League.
